Samson Agonistes, a Tragic Drama
Samson Agonistes is Milton's tragic closet drama. It is published with Paradise Regained in 1671. It is written in blank verse. The Lord of the Philistines bibbed her to discover the source of Samson's great strength. "Delilah" was a woman of sorek. She is the only woman in Samson's story who is named 'Delilah'.
