Thomas Rhymer

Thomas Rhymer was born in 1641, near Northallerton, Yorkshire, England. He was an English Poet, critic, antiquary and historian. His lasting contrition was to compile and published 16 volumes of the 1st edition of Foedera and 20 volumes conveying arguments between 'The Crown' of England. He held the office of England historiographer Royal from 1692 to 1714. He was credited with coining the phrase "Poetic justice" in 'The Tragedies' of the last age considered (1678). He died on 14 December 1713 and was buried four days later in St Clement Danes Church in the strand in London.
